Guest Speakers for Japan Wave Expo (Central Park, Jakarta)

Heeelloooooo!!!
OMG it's been so long since our last blog post! We were busy helping our family business, preparing GOWIGASA's new collection (YES!), and Jess has been busy with her master degree too!

Ok ok, enough excuses!

Let us update this space with this event back in February where we were invited to be guest speakers! It was an honour, really, to be part of this big event called Japan Wave Expo. The topic of our talkshow was mainly about our personal style and Japanese fashion, because Japan Wave Expo was actually a Japan fashion event which aimed to introduce Japan fashion to Indonesia.

While we were on our way to Central Park, some of you snapped us some pics from the event:
...which made us very nervous!

Before our turn came, we relaxed a bit at T.G.I. Friday's for a short briefing.

Aaand, it started!
Hahah! Elle accidentally wore a matching leopard blazer with the MC! xD
Jess was describing her OOTD. Her pinafore was actually from OLIVE des OLIVE, one of the Japanese brands that was presented at the event!
Elle also happened to wear OLIVE des OLIVE top and matched it with GOWIGASA high-waisted skirt.

We talked about how we adore Japan fashion and how it's influenced our style. We also love how (most of) the Jap always put extra effort to their outfits. If you've been to Japanespecially Tokyo, you'd know what we are talking about. Even the grandma&grandpa are so stylish!! Japan street style is always refreshing to see. :)

Besides our talk show, the event itself was filled with a lot of prestigious Japanese brands showcasing their latest collections, such as OLIVE des OLIVE, FIG&VIPER, and BOBSON. Take a look!
Japanese Hijab style!
Happy to know more and more Japanese brands coming to Indonesia, always a treat to the eye! :D

The event was also graced by well-known singers from Indonesia and Japan, including Tulus and Hiroaki Kato.

After our talk show, we strolled around Tribeca Park to check out the fashion booths!

And what made our evening even more awesome was this!!
Yes! We met our favourite member of JKT48, the super adorable Jessica Veranda! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)
It was really nice meeting her! :)

Got to know some of the brands owners too!

And of courseee, meeting these lovely people!

Thank you for saying hi and being like super sweet!! :)

With our cousins who accompanied us that day, Bianca and Brianna!

The goodie bag from the event.

Selfie with the crowd! Thank you so much to everyone who came to see and support us!! :)

We'd also like to thank Japan Wave Expo, JETRO, and SYZYGY99 for inviting us. We had such a great time sharing and learning about Japan fashion! Hope to see more events like this in the future

Joe's Birthday Dinner at Pince & Pints, Singapore

So, our lil bro just turned 23 last week, but due to work and all, we couldn't celebrate it properly (we did surprise him on the 00:00 tho)! Luckily, we had this job last weekend in Singapore that required his involvement! Thus, we decided to take him to this lobster restaurant that we've been eyeing since last year... Pince and Pints!

The Lobster Roll (their best seller) — $58++
This one is very similar with Burger & Lobster's Lobster Roll in London (a Michellin-starred restaurant!), the taste was just as wonderful and rich, if not better. And the bread was delicious as well!
The Truffle Roll  $68++
(Just like The Lobster Roll but with the addition of Truffle Butter Sauce and Truffle Caviar)
Chilli Lobster (accompanied by Fried Mantou)  $58++
The portion of this one is really HUGE! Maybe because of the rich, generous soup.
Nevertheless, it's very delicious! The chili soup tastes sweet rather than spicy. The meat is fresh, juicy and easily peeled off from the shell. Heck, it's very delicious that even Jess finally decided to suckle the rest of the dish with her hands! X"D
 **rare occasion**
Joe with his Truffle Roll.

Glad that he loved it so much! He said it was definitely one of the best food he ever tasted hahah, but seriously though, their lobster was SO GEWDDD!!! And they use 1 whole lobster for each dish, so it's totally worth your money. We highly recommend it, especially if you love lobsters! ♥

Happy birthday once again, you lil monkey! No matter how old you are, how crazy you can be, you will always be our baby bro, and we will always have your back! x

Bali Wedding + Good News for Shopaholics!

Hello!

Here's some lovely snippets from the wedding I attended this past weekend in Bali.
The groom, Erick, is one of my bf's close friends and he and his wife, Decy, has been together for 7 years! They are such good people, I'm so happy they finally tied the knot :)
The sun was SO bright that the wedding organiser were handing out sunglasses at the entrance for all the guests, including the bridesmaids! 8)
The vow...
…and the kiss!
Haha I love Erick's expression here! xD
The first dance. They look so cute together, aren't they? :)
I didn't take any pictures of the food, but it was amaaazing! The shrimp, the pork ribs, the sambals, EVERYTHING. URGH. I'm drooling right now reliving it!

Congratulations once again, Erick and Decy!
Best wishes for a happy life together! :D

OUTFIT

What I Wore: Suite Blanco Top | GOWIGASA Blue Maxi Skirt | Whiting Davis Cage Minaudiere Clutch Gold | Jason Wu Mustard Leather Buckle Sandals

I chose my new maxi skirt in blue from Gowigasa for that elegant and classy look, plus it can also be my "something blue" for the wedding hehe. I paired it with this sleek gold clutch that I got from Shopbop. Like finally, my quest for a formal-yet-stylish clutch is over!! Fyi, it comes with a chain strap for convenient carrying, but you can also tuck it inside perfectly when not in use. :)

For shoes, I wore these leather sandals in mustard to tone down the 'gold'. They are surprisingly VERY comfortable despite the height, I swear! And you know what? I also got them from Shopbop! They DO carry a lot of pretty things! I always spend so many hours browsing their store to find the *perfect* ones.

And good news for YOU,
Shopbop is having their BIGGEST SALE of the year!

• The sale begins Tuesday, November 25 - Monday, December 1 (that's an ENTIRE WEEK, my friend!)
• There is NO brand exclusions, and with this sale, the more you purchase the better the savings (see pic above). So I would strongly suggest you to find friends for a group purchase if possible!
