Work Hard, Play Hard: Elle The Birthday Girl!

On April 24th, Elle was having a birthday and I witnessed something I would never, ever forget. But, before I put down everything here, let's recite the things that happened lately before D-Day. Or should I say... E-Day? ;)

April 22nd: We had GOWIGASA photoshoot at the apartment. The shoot went great and we're beyond happy with the result! We will upload the new arrivals by next week ;)

My pretty Elle during the photoshoot

After the shoot, we went to Grand Indonesia for a walk, a hair do and of course, a meal. Went to my currently favorite eating place: Soup and Spoon!

Ordered these healthy + yummy treats:
Asian Tofu Salad, Iced Lemon Tea, Beef Goulash Soup, Tangy Tomato with Basil Soup.
We got the salad and tea by adding IDR 11.000,- only. Healthy meals that are easy on the pocket, huh ;)?
Going back to the car, we passed Ninety-Nine and decided to sit down for awhile :b Last time I went there, I didn't take any pictures of this beautiful spot, so here goes:
Ok lah only one. But wait...
Tadah! A picture of me on the restaurant!! With Mr. Shiny Head on the background.
Ah, we had the sweet red wine (Piemonte Brachetto) and Pistachio Creme Brulee for dessert:
yummy yummy yummy
Last pic of us (before going home that night). Both escalators were already switched off by the time we took this picture. But still, kids, don't try this at home :b

The next day on April 23rd, we spent one night in Grand Hyatt hotel for another GOWIGASA photoshoot. Yes, there are plenty of new arrivals coming up ;) Here are some random pics during the shoot..

After 3 hours photoshoot, we had our dinner at The Marmalade Pantry, Plaza Indonesia.
A shot inspired by a dear friend ;)
Yummy Foodie: Sweet Red Pepper and Tomato Soup, Leek and Bacon Quiche, Spaghetti Aglio Olio..
We also ordered Summer Smoothies and Daniel Smoothies for the drink. Elle really love the spaghetti (well, it's almost certain because she's a die-hard pasta lover!) while I'm in love with the smoothies. I specifically ordered the kind waitress to change the orange in my Daniel Smoothies with strawberries and she changed it, yay! Love it so much because all the ingredients are all my favorite: Banana, Oatmeal, Soy Milk, Honey, Natural Yogurt and of course, the exchanged Strawberries. Not that I dislike oranges, but I'd prefer strawberry smoothies than the orange one. Not that all of you care about my smoothies preferences, but I'm still letting you know anyway :b

Ah, there goes the smoothies!
Pasta girl

Done eating, we went back to the hotel room. Captured these amazing shots behind the window:
Bunderan HI, as seen from room #1708, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Elle went out with her friends afterwards, while I preferred to stay in the room watching this not-so-interesting Korean drama (title: Playful Kiss). If it weren't for the kawaii handsome actor Kim Hyun Joong, I'd rather watch Cartoon Network. Oh by the way, Grand Hyatt provided us the DVD player! Nice service :) After hours watching the actor drama, I fell asleep. Then, IT happened.

04.30 AM - April 24th 2011
I was asleep when my phone rang. It was from Elle. I picked up and said 'happy birthday' before I realized it wasn't her, it was her friend, Raissa instead. She asked me to wake up and 'help' her with the birthday girl. I went to the toilet and the next thing I knew, Raissa went into our hotel room using Elle's key. She was with Rudy too; both of them were Elle's classmates in highschool and they've been best friends ever since :D They were making a fuss while I was still in the toilet, but I didn't hear Elle's voice. After a while, I finally came out and what happened next is best described with these pictures:

Wondering what is this? Take a wild guess.

TADAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHA, ladies and gentlemen, I present you... The Hangover Birthday Girl carried on a wheelchair by her loving friends lollollol XD!!! Told ya, Grand Hyatt's service was really nice, they even provided wheelchairs for -uhm- incidents like this. LOL

Oh by the way, there was this ongoing conversation behind this picture:
(All conversations below are in Indonesian. I didn't translate them into English because, uh, I was too lazy to do that.)
Rudy: "Cijey brengsek amat nih jadi enci bukannya bantuin malah foto-foto."
Raissa: "Iya mending lu balik ke toilet aja deh, cijey!"
Jess: "Haha pose dulu, pose dulu."
*click*

Both Rudy and Raissa were very helpful, they stayed and helped Elle ease her nausea until the next hour before they finally went home. Both of them told me what happened that night: Elle was challenged for a drinking competition, and she got cheated all the way because -of course- she's the birthday girl. Everybody faked drinking the liquor but she just kept drinking and drinking, til BOOM! Alcohol went up! They also told me that Elle was dancing with this famous Indonesian fashion designer while she's drunk, hahaha.

Anyway, Elle finally fell asleep and the next day when she woke up, she didn't remember a damn thing about what happened that night, not even how she got back to the hotel! We laughed all the way when I told her everything and showed her the 'evidences'.

Once again, happy birthday, my dear lil sister ;*

A little addition here:
We just got ourselves a "Stylish Blogger Award" inherited by fellow blogger; Indi Kecil Babbit, yay!! She's such a sweet lady :D
Here's a screenshot from her blog and her lovely statement on my Facebook.
Thanks a lot, Indi dear ;*

The One With No Internet Connection

Hi! This is a rather random post I made during my busy days working for my college's final project. You see, in order to work, I need proper internet connection and ours at home has been screwed up lately AND we haven't even called the internet guy yet.

Long story short, we decided to begin our wondrous journey: A Search for the Place Provided with (preferrably) Fast Internet Connection. After miles... and miles... driving through Jakarta's traffic jam, we finally landed at... Senayan City's Foodism

Pretty cozy, eh?

Yay! The end of the journey (which was very short and not that adventurous haha)!! Elle also needed the internet connection to publish yesterday's post. Look, she's still wearing the same outfit :D

Some f&b we ordered (clockwise from top left): Spaghetti Telur Asin, Dory Fish, Melting Chocolate Cake, Orange Juice.

Okay, finished eating and doing what needed to be done, it was time to go home. BUT! Must take some pictures first because I was in the mood :b
After blurry!

Joget-joget!!

Finally got these..

...two decent pictures :D!

"Go home, go home! Assignments await!" mom said. Yea she was there too, forgot to take her pictures, though T_T

Chatty Saturday

Last weekend my friends and I spent our Saturday together at Chatter Box, Central Park. Actually it was the first time I visited the place, I didn't even know Central Park had Chatter Box.

The atmosphere of the place was pretty cozy for catching-up with friends, you can laugh your ass off and enjoy a conversation without another table getting annoyed because the space between each table is quite wide.

However, the service was a little bit disappointed, like they took a very long time to serve anything (even mineral water!!) and the waiters were also too busy chit-chatting with each other so we have to wave hysterically just to get their attention. FOL!

Ok pictures time!!

This is the only food pic I managed to snap, since I was kinda late and everybody had finished their main courses.

Party is not a party without these 2 people.

Meet Olivia and Venny - My skin care gurus. ♥

Santo, a GOLD medal winner of ASEAN skill competition for design. - Diana, nevermind. - Rudy, my best bud and also a talented graphic designer.

Diana was freaking excited to take a picture with us.lol.

Take two!

Anyway, I want to share one of the stories that made us laugh really hard yet confused at the same time that night (I promised my friends I would put this one in my blog wtf).

There's this guy, a friend of my friend, who has a slightly weird hobby. One day, he went out with his friends to a restaurant. He didn't order anything. Not even a drink. And no, he's not that economically poor.

Then right after his friends had finished their meals, he ASKED THE WAITER TO PACKED THE REMAINING CHILI SAUCE for him to take home!! Fyi, chili price had not increased by the time this happened HAHAHAHAHA his friends were like, "WTFFF...... Dot dot dot.......".

Guys,
Please don't try this at home. Or anywhere.
Sincerely,
Girls.

A Fun Birthday!

Two days ago, a close friend of mine was having a birthday, and the moment I stepped into the car, he told me his idea of celebrating the day was: AKS - 'Asal Kamu Senang' (in english: 'Whatever Pleases You'). So of course I went on board with his brilliant idea! LOL.

First stop! I chose to have a spa treatment, so he googled a bit and found this place called Bimasena, at The Dharmawangsa Hotel. Here's me on it's backyard. :)

4 PM, yet it's still so bright outside -_-

Ok take one more, then!

Stepping in.. It was a pretty small hotel, nice atmosphere, though. :)
Both of us had the Traditional Indonesian Massage Hydrotherapy (1.5 hour) in separate rooms because we'll be wearing paper panties only wtf. By the end of the session, the masseuse patted me on the back cos I fell asleep! Woah I reaaalllllly love her massage!! So soothing and all! :D

Next, for the sake of the AKS theme, I chose to have a hair treatment at Irwan Team's Salon which located in Grand Indonesia. But, since we didn't make any reservation, it was already packed by the time we got there. T_T

It's pretty sad cos I really love their Kerastase Treatment. This is the treatment room and a pic of me wearing the robe, taken on March haha.

But, worry not my friends, there are plenty other salons in the mall! So we got to Peter Saerang instead, got Hair Spa Treatment while slurping Soup & Spoon's delicious soups (bought them on our way to the salon). ˆڡˆ

Pampered body -checked.
Gorgeous hair -checked.
Delicious appetizer -checked.

Ah, it's time for a meal! Hahaha actually I felt pretty awful for my friend because it was his birthday and he got to do all these girly stuffs. Well in my defense, it was HIS idea to get me pleased (:b) and in my second defense, he seemed to enjoy it as well, aside from the complaining. Hahaha.

Going on, we went to Social House; full. Paulaner Brauhaus; also full. And finally went down to Ninety-Nine and got seated by the bar after waiting for a while. Haha it was a nice spot, though! Got some food and this sweet red wine that tasted REEEEEAL GOOD: Piemonte BrachettoI love sweet wine!

Next, we were going back to the parking lot, thinking what to do next, then we passed Fun World, and yeah, it's our next activity! ♥

He just got back from the car for taking the camera, and took these pics of me playing basketball wth. Super wrong outfit for the game but, nevermind :b I scored 217 pts, btw! Hm, haven't lost my skill, apparently. Hahaha..

 Balancing attempt #1

  Balancing attempt #2

Lousiest karaoke ever, choosing the songs was quite a challenge with that giant remote over there T_T

And... Here's my favorite!!

Didn't ride this carousel for real anyway hehe.

Played other games some more, finally got exhausted and we decided to go home after all the fun we had. :)
He told me it was the best birthday ever lohhh hahaha! And guess what? By the time we got in my apartment's lobby, he gave me THIS:

Containing a pretty dress, a beautiful pink rose and a thoughtful handwritten letter.

Muahahahahahaha it certainly felt like MY birthday instead of his! But anyway, like he said, it was his best birthday ever, and I couldn't agree more. ;b

Happy birthday, AB!

Have you read today's newspaper?

..cause I'm gonna tear it apart and use it as my wallpaper.

Remember my old photos back in 2009, when I used newspaper as the background?
It was all started because I entered GoGirl! Holiday Project - Celeb Pict Immitation... *I chose Bjork.

...and I got the 1st prize!!
I think I have to thank her quirkiness that made it stood out among the other contestants'!

After the photoshoot session was finished, I felt like it was such a waste to throw the papers right away.
"Why don't I use them again for another photoshoot?"

And so I did...

And again in 2011...

GOWIGASA Zebra Printed Skirt

Isn't it funny that I have the same bangs as my 2009 photoshoot?
I just realized it by the time I'm typing this.

Stradivarius Shirt

Faved! And no, that's not my underwear.

♥♥♥

Just pretend you don't see the ruined paper down there.

PLUS...

Hahaha I know they are out of context (no newspaper background),
please excuse my vanity.
