Warm Color Palette

What I Wore: GOWIGASA Mustard Dual Pocket Sleeveless Button-Up Shirt and Green High Waisted Hummingbird Printed Shorts | Forever21 Dark Green Blazer and Brown Heels | Topshop Necklace

Today I wanted to play with a warm fall color palette, but I tied up my shirt to give that summer feel because, y'know, it's always summer in Indonesia :) Although lately we get rainy or at least cloudy day every day, sigh. I hate it. Well, mostly because I can't take good photographs when it's dark outside. Good light is VERY important to get good results- especially outfit photos, and daylight is the best

Sometimes Often, I woke up to a beautiful sunny morning thinking, "Yay, I can take some outfit pictures today!" then I hurried into the shower, put on full makeup, did my hair, and dressed up. Then, all of a sudden, the sky became dark and rain was pouring down WTF, stop giving me false hope please! #firstworldproblems

Anyway, I just watched 'Frozen' tonight with Jess, mom and bro, and we loved it!
[Spoiler Alert]
My favorite scene was where Elsa escaped to the mountain and finally had the courage to just be herself. It was just beautiful and whimsical when she built her very own ice castle! She also became much more beautiful when she (finally) smiled joyously with her blonde hair down. Not to mention THE dress, omg! I WANT.

I also found the scene where Anna was ridiculously in love with Hans so amusing and wtf haha..

Another thing that I loved from this movie was it taught us that true love is not always between two lovers. It can be between siblings, and in this case, sisterswhich I can very much relate to :)

If you haven't watched it, go watch! And if you have, tell me what's your favorite scene in the comment section below or maybe what you don't like hehe, I'd love to know! :D

Happy Valentine's Day

No, this is not what I'm wearing for this lovey-dovey day. This is the outfit that I wore for my cousin's birthday lunch last week– happy birthday, Valen! ♥
In fact, I still don't know whether or not I'm going to celebrate V-day today as I am struggling with a cold and sore throat now.

Forever21 Top | Chicnova Skirt | ZARA Leather Jacket | Comfit Gorgeous Shoes | Marc by Marc Jacobs Bag | Cross Necklace from Japan

What is Valentine's day if we are not talking about Love? But today I'm not going to talk about some romantic love, instead I'd like to talk about something that I really love doing: watching some DVDs peacefully at home. A common conversation between me and my close friends:
Friends: "Where are you?"
Me: "Home."
Friends: "Watching DVDs?"
Me: "What else?"

And lately I've been hooked on two series, Breaking Bad and Entourage.

Breaking Bad is a bit dark drama series, and it is the story of Walter White, a law-abiding high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine (Crystal Meth) with his former student, Jesse Pinkman, with the aim of securing his family's financial future before he dies.

It is a very brilliant, high-quality, well-written and detailed film. If you love "Inception" or "Shawshank Redemption" then you are going to love this.

(Rating from IMDB: 9.4/10)

Entourage on the other hand, is much lighter than Breaking Bad. It is a comedy-drama series which chronicles the acting career of Vincent Chase, a young A-list movie star, and his childhood friends from Queens. The series focuses mainly on male friendship and real-life situations in modern-day Hollywood. Guys will love it as much as girls love Sex and the City. I really enjoy their sarcastic wit, especially coming from one of the characters, Ari Gold, the foul-mouthed yet lovable agent :)

p.s. Mark Wahlberg served as one of the show's executive producers, and the story is loosely based on Wahlberg's experiences as an up-and-coming film star.

(Rating from IMDB: 8.6/10)

Ok, I guess that's all! Thank you for reading and Happy Valentine's Day to all of you lovely people! Whether you are single or taken, treat yourself today you deserve it! :)

Somebody to love

MANGO blazer, f21 purse

How much can you learn from watching a film? For me, it's A LOT.
One of my favorite TV series that has taught me loads of lessons in life (and being a woman) is Desperate Housewives. If you are a fan of the series too, you must be familiar with the narrator's voice, Mary Alice (the one who shot herself at the beginning of the story). I always find her quotes profound and worth to remember, well actually I love many quotes from each character. That Marc Cherry guy sure knows how to entertain and make us learn something at the same time.

Anyway, here is the most recent quote from Mary Alice that I find to be very true:
"The things that bring us pleasure may not be enough to give our lives meaning, without someone to love."

I always thought the saying "Money can't buy us happiness" was completely wrong, but when I heard that quote from DH, I began to imagine what my life would be if I had all the money in the world but I didn't have, well as lame as it sounds, somebody to love. Yes money can make us feel happy, proud and all that, but only for a short period of time, our lives would still be empty without love. The feeling love brings is something you can't describe.

By the way, have you watched 'Modern Family' TV show? I just watched it for the 1st time yesterday at my friend's house, and I was hooked on the first season!! The main story is about three families who happen to live in the same neighborhood. The first family is a multi-cultural family, the second family is a traditional family, and the third family is a gay family (my fave!!).

It is not like another TV show that has a lot of drama going on, and it doesn't have that much background music (typical sitcoms), so you might get bored at the first 10 minutes. BUT trust me! All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the show, then you'll see how good (and funny) the story is! The show talks mostly about family issue and always provides a very touching quote at the end of each episode, and the best thing is, it teaches us that love knows no boundaries at all.

My favorite characters of the show are Gloria and Mitchell! Watch it and tell me yours!! :)
