Luxola Haul: ARgENTUM + 3CE + Mario Badescu Review

Hi guys! Today I'm reviewing these three products from Luxola:

"Mommy, what's this!?" excited Bolu helped me open the elegant black box lined with a glossy pink ribbon and look what we found inside:
Thanks, Mallika! I DO enjoy most of the products! ˆ)づ♡
Now, without further ado, let's get to #JessReviews:

3CE Face Blush - Love Filter

I tried and blogged about some of 3CE products like these ones and so far I'm pretty impressed with this line! Now this 3CE Face Blush - Love Filter is a compact blush on and I like it because it doesn't break me out and it has pretty color, which is highly pigmented. Seriously, you can see the color emerge on your skin with as fast as ONE stroke. Careful not to apply too much or you will risk looking so… shy all the time? Lol. It comes with no brush, though, so you better own one to use it. :)
Ever since I first tried it, it has become my favorite blush on until today!

SWATCH
As you can see, the soft, coral pink color is REALLY PRETTY!!!

I used sheer amount of 3CE Face Blush - Love Filter here, five strokes with my small blush brush that I got from Chanel Joues Contraste blush on, and look how natural it looks on my cheeks!

Mario Badescu Drying Cream

As an acne cream, I give this 7/10. It does dry up my zits pretty quickly, but not that quickly. It takes maybe two to three nights whereas my other pimple cream usually does it overnight. I picked this at first because it claims to be a 2 in 1 product: An acne cream which also conceals. Pretty interesting, huh? Well, aside from the drying effect, it doesn't conceal that well either. ^^; It's okay, though. I really do think that it will come in handy when you're going to a sleepover and you want to do your best tackling those silly friend of yours whose hobby is taking pictures of people's sleeping faces. You can use this overnight and during daytime; after moisturizer and before makeup.

ARgENTUM La Potion Infinie

"Made from 99.5% natural origins, La Potion Infinie is a super hydrating, restorative, anti-age cream. Silver Hydrosol regulates skin flora with its natural anti-bacterial properties. DNA HP promotes cell regeneration, crucially the production of collagen and elastin and reduces lipid peroxidation. Its high molecular weight results in excellent absorption, enabling optimum hydration. This synergetic action results in tissue regeneration and acts as a powerful anti- oxidant - a bioactive formula, delivering a new experience for a visibly healthier complexion."   website
Bolu's seriously reading the instruction page for me

I've been searching high and low for THE perfect anti-aging night cream since my skin stopped breaking out 2-3 years ago. Everything I've tried since then was either too drying, too thick or worse, broke me out (yes, my sensitive skin still gets occasional break out and sometimes, it's because of incompatible skincare products).

Now, after using this for one and a half months, I'm really glad to say that ARgENTUM La Potion Infinie is by far my favorite anti-aging night cream! It's nothing perfect or magical, but it doesn't break me out and it makes my skin look and feel healthier. The floral-herbal scent is 'different' and it smells weird to me at first, but now I kinda like it! Once applied, it also tighten my skin instantly and this tightening effect lasts for hours! Despite the thick, creamy texture, it feels very light and matte on my skin. I'm so impressed! Σ(\(Д)/) I read a review here which says that this cream is too dry for the author. So I guess that's why it works great on me, because she mentioned that she has dry, dehydrated skin and on the contrary, I have oily, sensitive skin. :) It is also a time and energy saver because I don't have to apply anything before and after the cream. I guess you can apply a toner / serum before it, but I don't and I still get great result from it!
I apply it nightly even though it says to use twice daily because I'm afraid I'd break out if I use it under makeup. So, during the day, I'm using my daily moisturizer under my makeup instead. So far, with ARgENTUM La Potion Infinie as my night cream, my complexion is a lot better than before. Skin tone is more evendewy but not oilymatte but not drypores look smaller (but sometimes when gets really hot and humid, my pores open their doors again, looking for some fresh air I guess… -_-), skin really feels tighter but it doesn't dry out and I can still smile or laugh widely without that weird plasticky feeling when you're wearing a peel-off mask lol. And… although I can't say anything about it now, I really do have high hopes for the anti-aging promise! XD

The rich texture
Ugh, after taking these pics on daylight, I read the instruction page and it says that this jet black jar is designed to protect the contents from the harmful rays of the sun and prolongs its shelf life AND it is also mentioned that we should not expose the cream to direct sunlight, heat or magnetic sources for maximum result *CRIES*. I didn't knowww. I should have used flashlight / room lighting instead. T____T Anyhow, it still gives great result for me, so. (comforts self) (cries again).

What's also in the box:
A spatula for hygienic reason and one of the very well designed twelve Archetype cards which includes the complete how-to-use, ingredients, history about the brand, etc. I received the 'Caregiver' which could mean I'm a caring person (which I'm not really) or that this ARgENTUM La Potion Infinie is a caregiver for my skin (which is true)! ^^ Price-wise, this cream is expensive (£147 / SGD 308 / IDR 2,900,000), but it's totally worth all the benefits it gives!

Falling Birds

Hello everyone!
I shot this outfit post around last week as we were approaching sunset, and the light was gorgeous. I barely edited the colours, it was naturally pink-purple-ish like that :) Makes it look a bit emo compared to my usual outfit posts though! haha
Anyway, even though here in Indonesia we have summer all year long, but fall is already in the air in some parts of the world. So, why not make it today's theme!

For me, every time I hear fall or autumn, I instantly think of earth-tone colours aka the colours that come from natural things around us, like soil, leaves, sky. I will never get tired of these colour schemes! They can create that warm, friendly atmosphere :)
The first thing that came into my mind when I was planning this outfit was the pants! I think the olive green colour is really "autumn-y" and provides a good starting point for the rest of the outfit.

After that I decided to go with dark colour palettes to match the pants and theme. I chose this bird prints top so my outfit won't be too plain, and I also tucked it just a little bit behind the belt buckle (front tuck), so that the brown colour from the belt can pop up. Besides, wearing a belt will also create a waistline :) Just remember to wrap the belt around the thinnest part of your waist!
For shoes, I chose this Michael Kors slingback sandals that I got from Shopbop. They are very very comfortable and casually stylish! I'm sooo eyeing the brown ones! Last time I checked, Shopbop still carried my size :D Wait for me brownies!
For bag, I opted for my 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel that I also got from Shopbop. I LOVE it so much, I think it really adds style and class to an outfit! And the medium satchel is just the purrrfect size for me, because it's roomy enough to fit all my everyday essentials (which is a lot, and thus made me scratched the mini size off the list), and the bag itself is already quite heavy so I don't think I can handle the large size.

It also comes with an adjustable 19in/48cm drop bag strap which is removable! Me like a bag with optionshandles and a strap.

If you find it interesting, you can go to Shopbop for more colour and style options! :)
To finish off my look, I wear my brown fedora hat to match the colour of my belt. Plus it's great to cover my black roots! Ah, that reminds me to book a salon appointment. -___-
Can't get over the colour of the sky.
What I Wore: Twenty3my Birdie Top | GOWIGASA Olive Green Capri Pants | 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel in black (from Shopbop) | Michael Kors Cassie Slingback Sandals (from Shopbop) | H&M Brown Fedora Hat and Belt

Okay that's all for today, thank you for reading and see you guys in my next post! :)
