Christmas 2013 in Akihabara

Hello, Mr. Hot Dog! Anwyay, yes, Christmas means red + green outfit. ^^v
Scrolled through my last Japan trip photos and decided to make a blog post out of 'em. No thanks to Stella for making me miss Japan so much right now. (˘̩̩ᴗ˘̩̩ƪ) Anyway, there are too many pictures so I'll just blog about this particular event first: December 25 a.k.a. My 2013's Christmas Day in Akihabara! Nothing special, really, we just strolled around the busy street, ate and shopped hehe.

The day started with us taking train to Akihabara and mommy stopped for something sweet:
 …other than herself, of course.
Oishii, oka-san? Lol, she really is a food lover! It was something made with Taro (purple sweet potato)? I forgot.

Yes, it's the famous AKB48 Café & Shop, right outside JR Akihabara Station!

Sushi Lunch

There's this tiny Sushi Shop right next to the AKB48 Cafe, here precisely (right outside the JR Akihabara Station's Electric Town exit and just next to Beck's Coffee Shop). It seemed perfect to satisfy our growling tummy and apparently, the prices were cheap, too!

Mom's making a quick count already, look at her hand lol.

Ama Ebi + Kani Nigiri Sushis = NOM NOM!

Done with lunch, back to the freezing street! brrrrr~~~

Street Strolling

Bf spotted a "cool car" which... I don't really get why.

CCTV Selfie

Continuing our journey in Akihabara, we went in and out some toy stores around this area.
There are SO MANY cute things there and I wanted to explore more but mom seemed genuinely uninterested (although she did buy something for my brother) lol, so off we went!

Ehhhhhh, it's dark already! T_T I blame the three of us who woke up late. XD
Anyway, look at how beautiful those trees are! The leaves were turning yellow when we were there.
So grateful to be able to watch it with mom!

Late Night Dinner

After shopping and eating around (it was ALWAYS mealtime whenever I'm around these two people, my mom and my bf lol), it was 11 by night so we decided to fill our tummy the last time(?) for that night at this place THE ROSE & CROWN - VICTORIAN PUB - ダイナック, which is located right across the Sushi place that we visited for lunch.

Merry Christmas!

After a while, it was 12 past midnight and it means… HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! X"D

BEYOND HAPPY!!!!!!

Apparently, they each bought some gifts and chocolates *secretly* when we were shopping around. :')

Thank you, mom and beb! ♡♡♡

Midnight Stroll

Stopped by a minimarket before going back to the hotel.
Japanese Häagen-Dazs has super duper exotic flavors and these are just some of them!!!
L-R: Apple Pie, Rum Raisin, Royal Cassis Milk, Murasaki Imo, Pumpkin
I TRIED ALL OF THEM AND THEY ALL SUPER DUPER YUMMY I'M DROOLING RIGHT NOWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My minimarket selfie was always ruined by these guys crowding in lol.

Mom wanted to take picture with this gorgeous Christmas tree on our hotel lobby before we're going up.
Beauties!

Okay then, thanks a lot for reading and see you guys on my next post! ˆ)づ♡

MORES Skincare Review

Introducing this new Thailand/Korean beauty products called MORES Skincare from Julie.

The product is both Thai and Korean FDA approved. From what I get from researching online, MORES is under a company named Better Skin Thailand Co., Ltd. but is made in Korea. I don't know how to check the registration online for both numbers up there (I googled around and couldn't find the right sites), so if any of you know how, do let me know and I'll add it here. ^^

MORES White Booster

Love the pump dispenser! If you're using both products as a combo like I do, then this one is what you'll be using first.

How to use:

The texture of MORES White Booster is lotion-like. Very light, easily absorbed into skin. It has very subtle, pleasant, calming scent. It is not supposed to be a moisturizer, so don't expect rich, creamy moisturizing effect from it. ^^v

Now, since I never use this alone (I always use it with the Skin Firming Pack), let's move on to the latter before we get to #JessReviews:

MORES Skin Firming Pack

Gotta say that I found this one VERY interesting because of it's exaggerated ads lolol:
SUPER SILLY OR WHAT??? X"D

How to use:

More info from the brochure inside the box (click image for larger view):

// BODY //
MORES Skin Firming Pack has very interesting texture, it's -believe it or not- KONYAKU or JELLY-LIKE. Look as I scrambled it up there, it reshaped itself within second into the smooth, flat surface. The brochure said that it's how the Re-Shaping Memory Gel (RSMG) works. Theoretically, as it reshape itself, it lift up your face and tighten your pores (see image up there).

Texture Difference:
After using both MORES White Booster and MORES Skin Firming Pack every night for two weeks, here's my review:

Do they break you out?
No, they don't. Super plus point for me.

Do they moisturize your skin?
MORES White Booster: nope. MORES Skin Firming Pack: yes.
As the instruction says, you use the WB first, so it may act as the base serum or light lotion. Then you apply the SFP on top of it to lock in the moisture overnight and give you the nutrients both of them promise.

Does the White Booster brighten your skin?
A bit, I guess. Not very significant to me.

Does the Skin Firming Pack lift up your skin and tighten your pores?
For firming effect, I can't really tell but pores DO get smaller when I wake up but (no) thanks to Jakarta's hot and humid weather, they would open up again by noon. TT

CONCLUSION
For the whole two weeks, I admit I woke up happy every morning because of the bouncy, poreless skin I got from these products. If not because of the hot-n-humid weather in Jakarta, I think it'll stay that way. I do think that MORES White Booster and MORES Skin Firming Pack will work wonder for those with less problematic skin. Normal skin bearers would love this for nightly maintenance.

Okay then, thanks a lot for reading and see you guys on my next post! ˆ)づ♡

Blue Evening and Some Beauty Tips!

What I Wore: GOWIGASA Powder Blue Blazer and White HW Shorts | Bershka White Sneakers

Hi!
Jess and I went for a quick photoshoot yesterday for sponsorship purposes, and this time I made sure to snap outfit photos! I wore white on white on white and topped it off with a pastel blazer. I looove how beautiful powder blue and white are combined together–clean, simple and not too girly. Such a match made in heaven.

Anyway, did you notice that my eyes look bigger in these photos? Well, the secret lies in using this magic eye tape, Starry Light by Stella Lee, and a bit of smoky eye makeup! And for fuller lips, I've been using a lip liner from MakeUpForever (Aqua Lip 8C Red) for quite some time now, and I'm loving the result! :D

Oh, just a reminder to our Indonesian readers to take a good care of yourselves as we are transitioning to rainy season!

xx
