Back Home

What I Wore: Suite Blanco Top | GOWIGASA Blue High-Waisted Skirt | ZARA Houndstooth Bag | Sheinside Studded Leather Jacket | ZARA Heels

Got this beautiful top from Suite Blanco (Senayan City); beside the eye-catching prints, I also love the neckline of this top as it can show off your shoulders (it's a beautiful part of your body!) :D

I paired it with an electric blue high waisted skirt from GOWIGASA to make the outfit even more colorful, then added the studded leather jacket to toughen it up. For the final look I decided to slip into these delicate heels from ZARA to keep the feminine side alive.

Anyway, I just came back from 5 fabulous days in Bali. If you follow my Instagram (@elleyamada), you can see real-time photo updates when I was there :)

Well back home means back to work and back to healthy lifestyle! Wish me luck ;)

ARTEMIS

YES! Finally this cat-shaped bag has joined Gowigasa family! We named this bag Artemis because it reminds us of Sailor Venus' cat! If you were a fan of 'Sailor Moon' manga/anime (by Naoko Takeuchi) when you were kids, you must remember that white magical cat who acts as a guardian and advisor to Sailor Venus! :D

Jess and I used to be huge fans of Sailor Moon series. We loved to spend our leisure times drawing all the characters, imagining how cool it would be if we had the superpower like they possessed, and of course we tried to 'transform' into Sailor Moon (followed all the movements + SING along wtf)

Oh, how I miss the good ol' days...

Wanted to try a different spot to shoot from but ended up getting face-slapped by my hair because the wind was freakin cray cray!

Nice People

Just got back from our short trip to Bandung. Although it was a business-purpose trip but we had a lot of fun AND lessons as we met many talented, smart, funny, yet so humble people (my favorite kind of people!) ♡
Thank you Bisma Karisma and Theo Faybriean for being kind and helpful hosts. Nice people DO exist! :)

SMILE, BABY, SMILE.

The last quote is one of the quotes that stays on my mind. I first read it from "The Secret"; the book basically says that everything that happens to us is the result of what we have thought. Think positive and we will attract positivity into our lives.

But how can we think positive thoughts when we are down? Well, the book suggests us to SMILE.

When we smile, our brain will automatically think of the good memories, like it can 'activate' happy centres in the brain– and thus will make us feel happy. Force it and try to hold it for one minute or so, I always do it when I'm upset and it works like magic! :)

I hope you get what I'm trying to say hehee... If you don't, I strongly recommend you to read the book (The Secret). It will change your whole life in a good way.

Little Black Dress

As you know, Little Black Dress or LBD is considered essential for every woman's wardrobe. Not only its black color is figure-flattering on a woman's body, it goes with anything, for every occasion –at any hour of the day or night. Many women and fashion observers believe it's a "rule of fashion" that every woman should own a simple, elegant black dress. And I totally agree! Whenever you are unsure how to dress for an occasion, you can always rely on it.

The LBD I wore today is from Sheinside (another awesome web store). I really love the cutting and also the beading around the neckline and shoulders which gives it an edgy feel. I paired it with a vintage bag from GOWIGASA, black sheer stockings, black boots, a red wine hat from PullandBear, and a black skinny belt to define my waist.
