Valentine 2013 // Wet n Wild Giveaway Winners

Behold, the belated post of my Valentine's day dinner date at Scusa, a comfy, modern-stylish Italian restaurant located just inside Intercontinental Hotel, Jakarta. :)

\\ THE MENU \\
The menu was placed under this round glass, made a nice decor and also cleverly served as a placemat.

\\ THE FOOD \\
↑ Sweet Water Prawn Cocktail with preserved lemon ↑
Lobster Bisque clams, langoustine and spinach tortellini ↑
Sole Fillet zucchini and herb flan, tomato-basil chutney and saffron reduction ↑
Wagyu Beef Tenderloin Parmesan potato cake and truffled veal jus ↑
Chocolate Cake fresh cream, marinated strawberries and vanilla-almond ice cream ↑

\\ THE PLACE \\
The whole dinner experience was nice, the food was pretty in presentation but average in taste. The appetizers - Prawn Cocktail, Lobster Bisque and Sole Fillet were great, but we expected more for the main entry and dessert, which I thought weren't very good.

The ambience was casually romantic, the whole place was dimly lit, each table was presented with a pretty red rose for the lady and decorated with rose petals and a candle. A Jazz duo performing live on stage and romantic music would fill in whenever the musicians took a break or two.

Oh, and because it was Valentine's Day, the place was packed, I mean, REALLY packed with young couples dressing up and sitting across from each other, eating and throwing awkward conversations lol. So, if you are looking for a more private place, this might not be it. But if you're looking for a more casual-yet-you-can-still-dress-up fine dining moment, you know where to call:

Out of the Blue

There is nothing better than pulling on a pair of boyfriend jeans and a casual tee for a lazy day! It's been a long time since the last time I wore low-rise jeans. It felt weird at first, but after a while it felt really comfortable. :)

I also wore this electric blue coat to brighten up the whole look. And to add even more color, I added this Fluoro Panel Clutch from The Editor's Market. I really love how bright the color is and I think the design is very futuristic! 8D

For shoes, I slipped into my blue wedges because I don't want to look too sloppy hehe..

LOL, added some balloons with photoshop because I have no idea what the hell my left hand was doing floating like that.

December 28, 2012

It's the most beautiful time of the year.

Although my family and I don't celebrate Christmas per se, I do like to give gifts to my Christian/Catholic friends and cousins, and of course to get in the spirit of it by simply having dinner or watch some movies. Christmas has always been a magical time for me the Christmas lights, the decorations, the songs... I wish I could experience a beautiful white Christmas someday, with the people I love; it would be awesome! :)

December 24 Christmas Eve

I went to Plaza Indonesia to have some late lunch at The Playground before buying movie tickets (The Man with the Iron Fists, not recommended btw). They have fun decorations that resemble kids' playgrounds and what I love the most about them is their Aglio Olio. I always request for it to be extra spicy and extra mushrooms, and they never disappoint me.

Had a simple dinner at The Ritz-Carlton (Pacific Place) Hotel with Jess, Yansen, and Jess' boyfriend. The food quality and the service are excellent as expected from them. And it's not too crowded, so that's another plus point for me. Anyway, I used to work there as an intern for 3 months hehe...

Btw New Years Eve is around the corner! Do you already have plans? Well Jess and I are going to have dinner with our big family at Mandarin Hotel, but we still haven't decided yet what are we going to do after that (for the countdown), whether partying with friends or playing fireworks with family or maybe just watching some dvds peacefully. Either way, we will surely express our gratitude to God because 2012 has been an amazing year for us! See you next year! :D

Strawberry Bustier

Yes! There are strawberries on my bustier! How cute is that?!
I mean, the cutting of the bustier itself is cute enough already, and you topped it off with strawberry patterns?? *cuteness overload*

Toned down the cuteness by adding black accessories (leather jacket, studded belt and bowler hat.)

*took off jacket to show you a more detailed look of the bustier*
(plus the weather was killing me)

OK end of this entry!
Till my next post! :D

Not so Girly

I've been missing pastel colors and floral print for quite a while, so today without second thought, I picked out my floral bralette (which happens to be pastel) and paired it with this dainty soft yellow blazer that I got from Efoxcity (they have it in mint color too! It was really hard for me to choose one), a pair of lilac pants I bought from Singapore, ZARA white slim bag, anddd yellow heels from Comfit! ♥

Floral pattern and pastel colors tend to be associated with girls or femininity, therefore I chose blazer and pants as my outerwear and bottoms to make this outfit not so girly.

NOT that I hate looking girly alright. My outfit just depends a lot on my mood and I wasn't feeling girly enough today. I was tempted to pick a cream lace skirt though! *oh so fickle*

I personally love these shoes because although the heel height is fairly high, they are still comfortable for walking all day; and the color is pretty rare to find, don't you think? :)

Anyway, today is Friday!!
Have a great weekend, lovely people! ;D

A Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime?

Unbranded polkadot denim top | Forever21 pants | ZARA white bag | Oasap leopard print wedges | Mango sunglasses | ZARA white belt

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
