Sporty Chic

Holding on to the wire fence, looking awkward.

H&M Pineapple Bralette | GOWIGASA Black Leather Skirt | Romwe Varsity Jacket | H&M Socks | Converse Sneakers | GOWIGASA Dope Snapback

Today I wanted to go for a sporty look that also gives a girly vibe. So, what I did was I paired my varsity jacket with a leather skirt (A-line) and this super cute pineapple bralette from H&M! :) I really love how the vibrant colours of the bralette create a pop of colour to my outfit.

To top it off, I wore a snapback to give an edgy touch, stripe knee-high socks that scream sports, and an extremely comfortable pair of sneakers! :D

By the way, I was very relieved when I found out this tennis court was empty so I could do the shoot without kids staring at me like I'm a circus act.

Oh, if you have time, kindly visit our web store, GOWIGASA as we just uploaded a bunch of new stuff! What's more, we also released our first basic collection that are designed and manufactured by us! At very affordable prices, of course. Basics are very essential to everyone's closet as they are timeless and come in very handy when you want to mix and match your look. So, we hope you can find something that you like! ;)

The Stag and the Owls

What I Wore: H&M Sweater and Bag | Romwe Stag Necklace | Suite Blanco Owls Belt | Forever21 Heels

Wearing this stag necklace reminds me of the TV series I'm currently hooked on... Game of Thrones. Do any of you watch it? Well if you don't, I highly recommend it! It's about seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros with jaw-droppingly beautiful cinematography and award-worth acting.

(IMDb rate: 9.4/10 - Genres: Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Action)

My favorite characters are Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, and Arya Stark :)

Topshop White Turtle Neck Top | Motel Rocks Mirror Print Skirt | Romwe Varsity Jacket | Shibuya 109 (Japan) Cross Necklace | GOWIGASA White Back Pack | Decimal Shoes Creepers | MAC Pink Nouveau Lipstick

This is just another way to rock a varsity jacket: mix it with a skirt!
I personally am crazy about the graphic and colors of the skirt, and how it pops out against the black&white, so thank you Motel Rocks! :D

In case you are wondering what lipstick I'm wearing in this post, it is Pink Nouveau by MAC <3

RED AND BLACK

ROMWE Jacket | H&M Top | GOWIGASA Burgundy Leather Skirt | Cozbest Suede Black Boots | GOWIGASA Skull Satchel Bag

I've been obsessed with prints lately and this wild wolves print jacket from Romwe is just so cool and eye-catching, it will add fierceness to any outfit. I paired it with a leather skirt in burgundy color because red and black go strikingly well together, and a letter-print tank top which says "Little Party Tank" (although I'm not a party girl, it's still a fun design to go for).

For shoes, I went with this pair of black boots again and again. I just love wearing them so much, they are so easy to slip on and off!

Anyway, we are going to open a stand at UPH (Universitas Pelita Harapan) Bazaar Festival on Feb 25 until Mar 1 2013. We will sell mostly second-hand clothing at crazy cheap prices and in very good condition. Trust me, you don't wanna miss this out!

December 28, 2012

It's the most beautiful time of the year.

Although my family and I don't celebrate Christmas per se, I do like to give gifts to my Christian/Catholic friends and cousins, and of course to get in the spirit of it by simply having dinner or watch some movies. Christmas has always been a magical time for me the Christmas lights, the decorations, the songs... I wish I could experience a beautiful white Christmas someday, with the people I love; it would be awesome! :)

December 24 Christmas Eve

I went to Plaza Indonesia to have some late lunch at The Playground before buying movie tickets (The Man with the Iron Fists, not recommended btw). They have fun decorations that resemble kids' playgrounds and what I love the most about them is their Aglio Olio. I always request for it to be extra spicy and extra mushrooms, and they never disappoint me.

Romwe Green Houndstooth Jacket | Forever21 Floral Top | ZARA White Slim Bag | Romwe Reindeer Necklace | Forever21 Boots | Studded Burgundy Shorts from Japan
The Aglio Olio and Iced Lychee Tea.
I was wearing Princess Mimi Bambi (WMM-305) soft lenses from GOWI LENS

December 25 Christmas

Kristine's Collection Brocade Printed Dress | Do-A-Fashion Navy Coat | DKNY Gold Purse | Romwe Reindeer Necklace | Swaychic red velvet platforms

Had a simple dinner at The Ritz-Carlton (Pacific Place) Hotel with Jess, Yansen, and Jess' boyfriend. The food quality and the service are excellent as expected from them. And it's not too crowded, so that's another plus point for me. Anyway, I used to work there as an intern for 3 months hehe...

Btw New Years Eve is around the corner! Do you already have plans? Well Jess and I are going to have dinner with our big family at Mandarin Hotel, but we still haven't decided yet what are we going to do after that (for the countdown), whether partying with friends or playing fireworks with family or maybe just watching some dvds peacefully. Either way, we will surely express our gratitude to God because 2012 has been an amazing year for us! See you next year! :D

Rainy Mother's Day

Stradivarius Camo Jacket | Romwe Tiger Print Top | ABOCS Orange Studded Shorts | Choies Studded Biker Boots | GOWIGASA Slim Backpack and Sheer Tights

The weather has been awful lately, heavy rain and strong winds... sigh. You can see it from the photos above how dark the sky was when it was only 2pm. I hate rain, it ruins all my plans for the day. Traffic jam everywhere, flooding, and it kinda make me sleepy I don't know why!! The only moment when I love rain is when I am sleeping and curling up under my blanket. Sadly the rainy season in Indonesia won't be over until April. (╥_╥)

Anyway, today is Mother's Day! Have you kissed your mom? Jess and I are planning to surprise our mom with pink roses when she gets home! We've been acting like we don't remember it even though she's been sending all these signals, lol sorry mom! We LOVE you

Japan Outfit #3 + Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park

The side-trip that we included on our Japan trip was to the Mount Fuji area, but our main objective was not to see the famous mountain, no. Our main destination was the less famous and underrated Theme Park... Fuji-Q Highland!!

By the way, we spent 2 nights at West Inn Fujiyoshida which is very closed to the theme park (15 mins walk) — very recommended! The photos and complete information of the hotel will be posted later.

On the way to Fujikyu Highland.
Fuji-Q (Fujikyu) Highland is an amusement park located in Yamanashi prefecture, Japan. The theme park is near the base of the famous Mount Fuji.

This is the place for you if you love rides and roller-coasters rather than the attractions of say, Disneyland or Disney Sea.

The main entrance that was already decorated in Christmas theme♡
Inside the souvenir shop. Thumbs up for the packaging!
A cute One Piece key/phone strap Jess bought at the shop which has her birthdate on it.
We arrived at around 10am so the queue was not that crowded. Another win point if you stay at our hotel is you can buy the ticket first at the front office so you can save much time! Nevertheless, you can still enjoy queuing here as they provide WI-FI!! (only at the entrance area wtf)

After you got in, there are 2 photo booths at the left side where you can take a picture and have your face on the ticket! :D

TADAAHHH!!
One Piece is literally everywhere in Japan! *happy happy*
So beautiful! The leaves were starting to change color.
A stand where many white papers tied on. We assume it is a "Omikuji - Good Luck, Bad Luck" thing? Not sure...
Kawaii girl spotted when we were queuing for 1,5hours.
Anyway this ride we were queuing for was the least interesting attraction and we feel so stupid because we thought we were queuing for Dodonpa roller coaster (photo below)!! We have asked a person behind us and he was nodding when we asked if we were queuing for Dodonpa! Grrr feel like pulling his hair right now! What's even worse is that this attraction was not fun at all! We could have been queuing for another roller coasters. (╥_╥)
One of the reasons to come back here.

// THE ROLLER COASTERS //

Fuji-Q Highland is known for its extreme and thrilling roller coasters. Here are the highlights:

1. EEJANAIKA "4th Dimension Roller Coaster"
(76 metres tall, 126 km/h)
What makes Eejanaika so unique is that as the train travels around the track, the cars are able to do independent flips and twists!

Going up the hill + dropping down backwards.
The train does a complete rotation while the cars on the train ALSO do a full rotation!
Here you can see the seats rotating.  Look at the seat position of the back row versus the front row!
The station where we must took off some of our stuffs like bags, necklaces, watches, shoes, etc. The trains are riding toward where the arrow's pointing to... backwards that is.
So you can imagine we rode this heart-pounding roller coaster without shoes, in freezing weather, holding in our pee!! But it's all worth it. We screamed a lot throughout the ride, got a huge adrenaline rush, and when the ride was over, we were just..... quiet. Like traumatized or something, lol. We are not sure if there is any roller coaster more thrilling than this.

Side note from Jess:
I've tried Insanity Stratosphere (Las Vegas), The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Disney World - Florida), Dragon Challenge / Dueling Dragons (Universal Studios - Florida), been to Six Flags (LA) and rode most of those scary rides inside non-stop, but Eejanaika... is no kidding the scariest ride I've been in! Totally worth the (seemingly unintimidating with all those cute graphics and cute 'eejanaika!' shout outs song) LONG queue.

The certificate says: The roller coaster with the greatest number of inversions is the 4th Dimension Coaster at Fujikyu Highland in Japan. Riders turn upside down a total of 14 times during each 1,153 m (3,782 ft) run. The ride opens to the public in July 2006.

2. FUJIYAMA
(79 metres tall, 130 km/h)

In 1996, "Fujiyama - King of Coasters" opened as the world's tallest coaster.  It held that record for four years.

It was also the world's first "hyper twister" coaster.
The lift-hill. The part where you go, "Omg omg omg I'm gonna dieee..."
The queue when we were about to return to our hotel (5:30pm). Wanted to join but it was already closed (no more passengers allowed because the whole theme park was closed at 6pm *sob).
3. TAKABISHA
 (The world’s steepest steel roller-coaster)

It contains a 121° freefall, as well as seven major twists over 1000 metres of track, and a drop of 43 metres.
We did not manage to ride it, but reading this description from a blogger is enough to give us the heebie jeebies: "First they bring you straight up one side, then they sloooowly bring you over the top. You sloooowly approach the precipice, and then you just hang there for what feels like an eternity. Then you’re taken over a 121 degree vertical drop."

4. DODONPA
(52 metres tall, 172 km/h)

Dodonpa was once the world's fastest and still ranks the fastest in the world for launch time acceleration.

The trains go up and down at 90 degree angles!
Cute pink polkadot trains :D

// OTHER ATTRACTIONS //

This is our first ride here which also gave us a crazy experience (it swings back and forth and sometimes we are facing upside-down), but still, it is nothing compared to Eejanaika.
Another cute coaster.
The famous haunted hospital which is our main reason that drives us to come here! It is the world's second largest haunted attraction and we read somewhere that they remade the exact building as the real hospital which is believed to be haunted. Sadly it was already closed when we finished the Eejanaika ride (at 5pm). Definitely must come back for this!!
Snapshots taken from my phone.

We'd also like to thank our dear friend, Wisnu Tejakusuma who recommended this place! X
